“Really early one morning I was on the top deck of a bus going through Newcastle town centre and saw this immaculately made up, dressed and coiffured girl strutting by the shops back from a club. Because of a presumably abandoned stolen car in the road the bus driver mounted the pavement to get round it. He didn’t realise but the shop we were next to had a fixed cover over the pavement which he hit and it began to disintegrate directly in the path of the girl.
She, being aware of all the eyes of the world on her and stepping to the beat of the last tune she heard, was totally unfazed, kept perfect time and stepped over every piece of plastic and steel that fell into her path.
What really amazed me was that she didn’t even turn her head flicker her eyes around or trip up. She just got through it without skipping a beat totally unscathed without loosing any of her considerable cool.”
…Now that’s the kind of story that makes us all smile!
